Bought this from OWC for US$513 + additional S$140 special goods tax at Singapore customs in 2011 which I had to pay when it was shipped to Singapore + S$40 for the Pentalobe screwdriver which is not highlighted in the receipt. Used it for about 3 months (after which I started using my iPad more than the Macbook Air.)
You can take the existing memory from your unit and place it in the On-The-Go pro USB 3 enclosure which has much faster chipsets that will work with your original drive from your Macbook Air.
My total cost to purchase this item was S$758. Am advertising at S$297 for a quick sale. If you are keen, I could assist you in doing the installation.
