Bumblebee Language Centre was originally Excel Eduplus, an education centre specialized in teaching Chinese language since 2002. Over the many years of teaching Chinese, the centre has specially designed comprehensive and unique teaching materials for students of every level. For Pre-Schoolers,  we engage them through nursery rhymes and songs, story narration, enactment of Chinese folk tales and tongue twisters. We draw Chinese words and simple phrases from these interesting sessions. Our theme-based learning activities will focus on building the listening and speaking skills and confidence in using Mandarin in day-to-day context.
 
In order to build a strong foundation in Chinese Language in preparation for primary school, HanYu PinYin has been integrated into the curriculum from K1. We will continue to engage the child in interesting activities including storytelling, play-acting, songs, art and craft, and writing practice to further develop competency in the four components of language learning ? listening, speaking, reading and writing.

For the Primary School kids, we impart strategies and techniques that help students overcome difficulties in learning Chinese. Our lessons are designed in line with the MOE curriculum and delivered concurrently with school teaching pace. In addition to revision of textbook contents, the courses will cover more vocabulary and reading materials. Various types of language training will also be provided to increase student?s vocabulary and cultivate student?s ability in understanding and solving language questions, which will eventually help students to achieve better results in their examinations.
 
Our class size is very small with a maximum of 6 kids to a class to ensure that the teacher will be able to pay attention to each child.

As secondary students prepare for the GCE ?O? level examination, our centre's courses for this group are tailored towards enrichment and ensuring students are well-prepared not only for the examination but for lifelong communication. Students will practise all examinable components in the MOE syllabus. We will also focus on how to choose essay topics wisely, understand question requirement and organise essay structure. We will also keep students abreast of current affairs and engage them in discussions on current popular topics so as to prepare them for their speech and writing component in exam.
